While we love conversing with our adopting families we have many responsibilities throughout the day to day care of our facility and dogs to keep everything running smoothly and everyone happy and healthy. So we've made this tab for our families to take a look through to hopefully answer most of your questions that we've seen commonly asked throughout the adoption inquiry process. If you do not see an answer to your questions by all means do not hesitate to contact us directly via email, text, or phone call and we will respond asap.
Q & A
Q: How are our puppies raised?
A: Our puppies are raised in our whelping room that's a total of 16 feet by 35 feet, with an outside run area accessible through their doggy doors that are 4 feet by 15 feet, and an outdoor puppy play yard that's 40 feet by 35 feet. We follow BAB (Badass Breeder), PC (Puppy Culture), and BB (Breeder Bootcamp) ENS, ESI, and puppy raising protocols/suggestions modified to what fits our programs goals and adopting family's common wishes, to ensure we are doing our best to raise well rounded, confident puppies that will thrive in any household or line of work. We include a run down of what BAB, PC, and BB protocols recommend not only as a breeder but as a new puppy buyer, in various documents included in your pups go home folder and outlined in our Puppy Breeder to Home tab. Our puppies are socialized extensively daily with adults, children, and other animals. We also work on proper grooming manners and behavior with professional bi weekly grooming from age 2 weeks till they go to their new homes.

- (2) basic toys

Q: What kind of health testing do parents and/or puppies have done?
A: All of our dogs are screened extensively prior to formly joining our breeding program, this includes full genetic disease coat type color and body structure, OFA preliminary (graded harsher then finals) Hips Elbows Patellas Cardiac Eyes Thyroid and Detention, OFA final Hips Elbows Patellas Cardiac Eyes Thyroid and Detention, and annual full health exams by a licensed veterinarian.
Q: Do you offer a health guarantee?
A: Yes, and this is outlined within our purchase agreement which is available for viewing at any point in time through our website. A printed out and mutually signed version is also included in the documents sent home in your pups go home package for your own records and reflection. Please read through this carefully to fully understand what we do and do not cover as every breeder is different.
Q: What is your puppy selection process?
A: We have a multi step selection process that combines the top two puppy selection options that are preferred both by breeders and pet buyers. First and foremost no picks can be made until the genetic panels come back on the individual puppies. This is done due to the fact that the genetics overall typically determine the price of the puppy. At this time the buyers that are purchasing mainly off of genetic results or appearance can make their picks. Second portion of the selection process is done after temperament testing which is done at 7 weeks of age. This most commonly are homes that are interested in a service or working partner in which temperament and drive are of the upmost importance. While we understand this may be frustrating as we do not hold back the entire litter for temperament testing prior to picks, I have to be honest when we've done it that way previously we've had too many puppies stay past their 8 week go home date due to those individuals that purchase based off genetics and looks becoming impatient and purchasing elsewhere.
Q: Do you have a purchase contract?
A: Yes, and this contract is available for viewing at any point in time on our website. A printed out and mutually signed version is also included in the documents sent home in your pups go home package for your own records and reflection. This keeps both parties accountable to the terms outlined within the contract. Our contracts are strictly enforced, and we cannot stress enough; if you purchase your puppy as a pet under limited registration and a pet agreement you MUST spay/neuter your pup prior to reaching 12 months of age or our health guarantee WILL NOT BE VALID and legal action will be taken to correct the violation of contract.
Q: Why does health/color testing affect the prices on puppies?
A: This is a tough question to truly break down and answer for the pet buying crowd, breeders tend to better understand and support this but in short you wouldn't pay the same price for a Prius as you would a 4Runner. While they are the same brand they have different overall values due to having different features. While all of our pups are bred of quality not all would be considered breeding quality and any breeder that says their litters are all show/breeding quality are either lying to themselves or truly do not know yet the finer differences are. These are differences that as a pet buyer you may not see nor care about but as a breeder if we breed an extremely high quality dog of uncommon color etc. and you'd like to reserve it as a pet only adoption I fully support that but the price will reflect the quality of the dog. This price will never reflect the full breeding rights purchase tag of the puppy if they are going to a pet home. As a breeder, breeding and making these puppies available to the public outside of the breeder's circle I have no problem being transparent, if I'm purchasing the parents of these puppies for $5,500-$15,000 then the offspring in turn must make the parental investments worth the cost. If not then we would be operating at a deficit consistently which obviously is not how a business can stay running.
Q: What is a Puppy Deposit?
A: Puppy Deposit holds the puppy you want once puppies are old enough to be selected.
The puppy deposits go toward the purchase of a puppy.
Q: Will we take the puppy/dog back if your circumstances lead to you being unable to keep them?
A: Of course! It is outlined in our contract that if circumstances lead to the original adoption family having to rehome their puppy/dog for any reason we must be contacted. We give the option to have the dog returned, or to help filter and advertise an adoption directly from the original family.
Q: What is ENS?
A: ENS is short for Early Neurological Stimulation. This program is done with all our puppies from day 3 till day 16 of age. Studies have proven this protocol has resulted in improved cardiovascular preformamce, stronger adrenal glands, stronger heartbeats, higher tolerance to stress, greater resistance to disease, and better problem solving skills.
Q: What is ESI?
A: ESI is short for Early Scent Introduction. This program is done with all of our pups from day 3 through day 16 of age. This is especially important and beneficial for any pups going into lines of work including but not limited to therapy, emotional support, hunting, law enforcement, search and rescue, and/or seeking competitions. Studies have proven this protocol improves their scent awareness and confidence as well.
Q: Can we breed our puppy?
A: Not unless agreed upon upfront at the beginning of your application and purchase contract. You are required to sign a legally binding contract stating you will not breed your poodle otherwise. If unauthorized breeding occurs, legal steps will be taken and said poodle with any offspring will be confiscated as well as Legal fees and compensation for us to finish raising, vetting, and adopting out an unplanned unauthorized litter that we cannot not whole heartily stand behind due to us not selecting the sire specifically for complementary genetics, conformation, and temperament.
Q: Why can’t we breed our puppy unless agreed upon upfront?
A: Breeding appears to most people like an easy way to make money, and who doesn’t like puppies right!?
So money and fun all at once.... sounds to good to be true! IT IS! I have buyer that get irritated with me for enforcing them to sign a spay neuter contract when they are paying X amount for a dog. I understand the frustration but on the other hand I had to follow the rules like everyone else. I had to search high and low for breeders with good lines that I could purchase high quality breeding dogs and great family pets with breeding rights and not swindle someone’s livelihood out from under them. Because even though these are family members this also is our livelihood that took over 5 years to get it to where we are now. Breeding dogs is a science it takes many hours of research, lots of hands-on training/experiences, and unfortunately a lot of very sad moments when a dog falls ill or injured, doesn't pass health testing after many months and resources of raising, or a brand new puppy doesn’t make it. It’s expensive, it’s intense, it takes up most of your life if you’re producing quality, healthy, family pets like these. Anyone can throw two random dogs together but finding homes for them...GOOD LUCK!
Q: Will your puppy be trained?
A: If that means potty trained, leash trained, command trained..... no that's actually the job of the new family :) However your puppy will be very well socialized as I have a large family with 4 kids and many friends and extended family. We start implementing crate, potty, and sit training prior to them leaving but they will be far from fully trained in any of those 3 areas due to their young age, and lower attention/training spans. Our puppies learn to be a family member first and foremost.
Q:How likely is it i will get a puppy out of the next litter?
A:That all depends on the amount of people that contact me before you do when puppies are posted and the amount of puppies that will be born. Neither of which can be predicted.
Q: Will my puppy chew or bark?
A: Every dog is different and these habits can be avoided and discouraged with proper training. Our dogs are very quiet and they have plenty of things to occupy them so these bad habits have not been issues for us.
