At TreeLine Poodles, we have decided to incorporate a new policy regarding visiting that many of our fellow reputable breeders have implemented for the health and safety of our family pets. We will no longer be allowing puppy visits. For pick up we now meet families at a convenient public location or ship them via airlines/ground transportation and we do not allow visitors to our home. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but we feel it is necessary for the health and safety of each puppy while awaiting forever homes and our family. Please read ALL of the following information and contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this change don't hesitate to move it forward to us. If this policy makes you feel uncomfortable in any way I highly encourage you buy from a breeder that does allow home visits we by no means want anyone feeling uneasy purchasing from us.
Below is information on the multiple reasons we are not allowing home visits anymore. These diseases also apply to any puppy under 16 weeks, so please keep this in mind when bring home your new puppy!

Disease

Like a new baby, the opportunity for young pups to pick up infectious diseases is increased with all new contacts. Their immune systems are building, so at this time, the moms and pups live separate from all outside traffic. Most illnesses and diseases are innocently carried on people’s shoes and clothing. Entire litters of puppies can be wiped out within 48 hours by the puppy killer Parvo Virus. This disease could be picked up unknowingly by people in a school yard, a park, or on a sidewalk, and this is only one disease. We cannot risk exposing our dogs and your puppy to diseases that could destroy them. Your puppy is not the only puppy. By protecting all of our puppies from stress and disease that could be brought on by high traffic, we are protecting your puppy.
Just think if someone who just wanted to see his or her pup happened to bring in an illness that would cause us to lose a litter and you to lose your future puppy as well.Parvo is just one of many deadly diseases that can be unknowingly brought in by visitors.
Here is just one example of a Parvo infection at a breeding facility. I found this after just a few minutes of internet searching "Parvo infection from visitors".

Theft

Another reason we have decide to implement this policy is theft. There has been an increase in puppy theft from breeders facilities and private homes with the increase of puppy demand and many struggling with their finances. As trusting as we'd like to be with our potential adopting families I have to prioritize the safety and well-being of my family and dogs.

What you can do in the mean time
At TreeLine Poodles we are very dedicated to keeping good communication with all of our adopting families during puppy selection, purchase, and for years beyond. When you are placing a deposit on a new puppy we will begin an open communication with each family. I encourage every family to contact me at anytime if they have a question, concern or just want to talk poodles.
